This certification is one of the most stringent and widely recognized auditing standards for service companies. SAS70 is the authoritative guidance that allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format.
TruSecure Service Provider
This certification is awarded to organizations for employing robust and highly secure network operations. TruSecure provides independent testing and verification of all dimensions of security including their strict requirements for security surrounding the physical environment, access controls, backup, failover, redundancy, disaster recovery capabilities, network connectivity, server configurations and overall security posture.
Security
Application Servers - A trader’s access to the trading platform is connected via web server, which implements MD5 Digest Access Authentication (RFC2069) standard. All known browsers support this standard so it is also used in reports. An important advantage of using this method is that Digest Access Authentication simply does not transmit passwords over the internet, creating a much safer environment over the standard method of password encryption. Another distinctive advantage of this technology is that it eliminates the need for SSL, which encrypts the entire transaction traffic, causing slower communication. All servers are behind firewalls, and all servers’ management connections are done via VPNs.Overview
Redundant Network Infrastructure - ActForex hosts its hardware infrastructure at a SAS-70 Certified data facility. This network environment has been built as a fault tolerant network, which provides divergent routes and multiple connections in networking cable, via multi-homed Synchronous Optical Network Technology (“SONET”) rings and establishes a Necessary + 1 (“N+1”) redundancy. All network devices are, at a minimum, N + 1 redundant. This self-healing wide area network and fully redundant, high-speed local area network infrastructure (Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet) provides network solutions that offer the highest industry standards for security, reliability and virtually limitless scalability. As a carrier-neutral provider, our data center is interconnected and peering with national and international Tier 1 an Tier 2 carriers.DB Server – our user database is facilitated via Oracle database technology - a recognized leader in the IT industry for its reliability, high performance and capacity to store enormous volumes of data.
Application Server – a software system providing information about current instrument quotes, trade positions, and a multitude of services that enable users to maintain control of every nuance of their trading activity.
Chart Server – a software system providing a comprehensive and intuitive graphic representation of instrument quotes from financial markets.
Feed Server – a software system sending and receiving price feed data from financial markets.
News Agent – a software system capable of receiving and sending Forex and other relevant financial news, which may influence the state of financial markets.
News Server – a server that integrates with the ActForex trading platform to be a source of financial news for users.
Authentication Service – a service that allows access to registered users only within their scope of user-rights. With the highest level of encryption available, the security of each transaction meets or exceeds industry-wide best practices.
ActTrader™ - ActForex proprietary software, which serves as the trader’s application workspace. This software is installed on each trader’s personal computer and provides access to the services of the trading platform.
ActDealer™ – ActForex proprietary software, which serves as the dealer’s application workspace. This software is installed on dealer’s personal computer and provides access to real-time reports, risk management, trader activity and complete back office functions.
ActAdmin™ – ActForex proprietary software, which serves as the administrator’s application workspace. This software is installed on administrator’s personal computer and provides access to complete back office functions.
